IcyBreeze Cooling LLC has announced a recall of its IcyBreeze Buddy Portable Misting Fans due to a potential fire hazard. The fans, which can overheat while charging, were sold online in the United States at the Icybreeze website and the Amazon site from November 2023 to August 2024.AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- IcyBreeze Buddy Portable Misting Fans, a portable, battery-operated misting fan.
- The portable fan is equipped with a 1.5-liter water tank for continuous misting and allows consumers to choose between AC power or the 10,000 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery for up to 7 hours of outdoor use.
- The misting fan displays “ICYBREEZE” on both the fan and the base of the product and comes in slate blue, gray, and seafoam.
- Approximately 22,600 units are included in the recall.
The issue was identified following seven reports of overheating, including two incidents resulting in fire. The recall was initiated on September 18, 2025, and is classified as a Fast Track Recall.
