####Update June 4th, 2025:The FDA has expanded its list of brand names linked to nitrous oxide products to now include ExoticWhip, FastGas, and NITROX. These nitrous oxide tanks, canisters, and chargers are often sold online or at locations such as vape shops, gas stations, and smoke stores. The FDA is continuing to monitor reports of harmful effects caused by the misuse and inhalation of these products and will take action as needed to safeguard public health.

The FDA has issued a warning to consumers against inhaling nitrous oxide products due to potential severe adverse events, including death, if used for recreational or non-food purposes. The products in question are marketed as both unflavored and flavored nitrous oxide canisters and are sold as a food processing propellant for whipped cream and culinary food use. The FDA has observed an increase in reports of adverse events after inhalation of nitrous oxide products. These reports have also been published by various news outlets. The FDA will continue tracking these reports and take necessary actions to protect public health.
The products are sold under multiple brand names including:
- Baking Bad
- Cosmic Gas
- Galaxy Gas
- HOTWHIP
- InfusionMax
- MassGass
- Miami Magic
- Whip-it!
The FDA advises consumers not to inhale nitrous oxide products from any size canister, tank, or charger. The misuse or inhalation of these products can lead to serious health issues.
