Drinkmate has issued a recall for its 1-liter carbonation bottles due to the risk of explosion during use, which poses impact, laceration, and hearing damage hazards. The affected products were sold online through retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target, as well as on the Drinkmate website in the United States. Approximately 106,200 units are affected in the U.S., with an additional 5,000 sold in Canada. The issue was identified following eight reports of bottles exploding, resulting in injuries.AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- 1L Carbonation Bottles
- Involves bottles with a clear polyethylene terephthalate (PET) body and caps
_ Bases in red, blue, white, and black.
- Expiration dates between January 2026 and October 2026.
- Expiration dates are printed on the side of the bottle.
- These bottles were sold individually
- They were sold as part of some Drinkmate OmniFizz starter kits.
The recall was initiated on August 14, 2025, and is classified as a Fast Track Recall.
