Converta Camping Cots and Suspension Stretchers recalled due to Safety Issue, USA

The Coleman Company has issued a recall for its Converta camping cots and Converta camping suspension stretchers due to a risk of laceration and amputation hazards. These products were sold at Walmart and other stores nationwide in the United States, as well as online on Amazon, from January 2011 through March 2025. Approximately 228,760 units in the U.S. and 438 in Canada are included in the recall.The firm has received seven reports of the seatback adjustment mechanism pinching consumers’ fingers, including two reports of fractured fingers.
The recall affects:
PRODUCT: Coleman Converta camping cots
- With model numbers 2000003077 and 2000020282
PRODUCT: Converta camping suspension stretchers
- With model number 2000020290.
These items feature tan or white fabric with the Coleman logo and black steel frames.
The issue was identified after seven reports of the seatback adjustment mechanism pinching consumers' fingers, including two incidents resulting in fractured fingers. The recall was initiated on June 26, 2025.
