General Motors (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD vehicles due to a brake pressure sensor assembly issue that may cause a short circuit. These vehicles were distributed across the United States. The recall affects 62,468 units.

- CHEVROLET/SILVERADO 5500HD/2019-2024
- CHEVROLET/SILVERADO 6500HD/2019-2024

Components:
Service Brakes, Hydraulic: Brake Fluid Low, Warning: Switch/Sensor/Float

The problem involves the brake pressure sensor assembly, which may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch. This issue can lead to an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

The recall was initiated on June 12, 2025, and is classified under NHTSA Campaign Number 25V390.

The issue was identified by GM, and the recall was classified as a safety risk by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall process is being managed in accordance with federal regulations.
