5 months ago source cpsc.gov

United States

Apollo Imports Inc. has announced a recall of its Apollo City Model Year 2024 electric scooters due to a potential fall and injury hazard. The scooters, sold nationwide at Best Buy and online through Apollo Scooters' website, Amazon's website, and Best Buy's website in the United States, have a weld line that may crack, causing the stem to break.

AFFECTED PRODUCT:
- Approximately 790 units of the dual-motor scooters
- Have top speeds of 32 miles per hour.
- Which feature has a gray exterior with a headlight and rear brake light.
- The affected serial numbers range from 4202240300001 to 4202240301236 and 4202240400001 to 4202240400764.
- “Apollo” is printed on the stem of the scooter, and “Apollo City” is displayed on the rear left side of the grip tape on the deck of the scooter.
- The serial number is located on the bottom of the scooter deck.
- These scooters were sold between June 2024 and April 2025.

The issue was identified following 10 reports of weld cracking, including four incidents where riders fell, resulting in one reported injury. The recall was initiated on July 24, 2025, and is classified as a Fast Track Recall.

If you or a loved one is harmed or experiencing any symptoms, it is important to report it. Reporting can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
