A product safety report has been released that is causing concern for consumers. Bracelets with Charms (2301-0192) were found to have high concentrations of lead and cadmium, which is known to be hazardous to human health. The product was imported from China and was sold on Amazon.The recalled product is:
- A DIY Bracelet set with charms to make bracelets, Carton numbers: FBA15G914QN6U000005, X001BX9AKT. APP Ref: 421632. Type: Jewellery - Bracelets with Charms
The product was found to have 0.623% lead, over 12 times over the limit of 0.05%, and 26.3% Cadmium, 2630 times over the limit of 0.01%. As a result, the import of the product was rejected at the border and destroyed. The listing of the product has since been removed from Amazon.
At the moment, nobody has reported any symptoms of illness due to the product, however, it is important to be aware of the potential risks associated with the product. Consumers are advised to take extra caution when purchasing jewelry from unknown sources and to check the content of the product.
