4our Kiddies Plastic Tip Restraint Kits recalled due to Tip-Over Hazard, United States

1 week ago source cpsc.gov

United States

Shenzhen City Donglin E-Commerce Co., Ltd, operating as 4our Kiddies, has recalled its Plastic Tip Restraint Kits due to a tip-over hazard. The kits, sold online at the Amazon website in the United States from June 2019 through January 2026, pose a risk of serious injury or death as they can break or degrade.

HAZARD:
The recalled plastic tip-restraint kits (also known as furniture straps) may weaken or fail over time, creating a risk that secured furniture could tip over or trap someone. This can lead to serious injuries or even death, particularly for children or older adults. The danger is not obvious, as consumers may believe their furniture is safely anchored when the restraints are actually unreliable.

AFFECTED PRODUCTS

PRODUCT: Plastic Tip Restraint Kits (Furniture Straps)
- Brand: 4our Kiddies
- Components Included: Two white plastic brackets/mounts (furniture and wall), one plastic cable zip tie, two pairs of screws (different sizes), and two drywall anchors
- Packaging: Kit set for securing furniture to the wall
- Plastic components (brackets and zip tie) may break or degrade over time
- Risk of furniture tip-over and entrapment
- Failed to meet industry safety standards for tip restraints
- Considered a hidden hazard, as consumers may believe furniture is securely anchored when it is not
- Approximately 253,500 units are affected.

The recall was initiated on March 26, 2026, following reports of 150 incidents, including three tip-over cases. The issue was identified through CPSC testing, classifying it as a safety hazard.
