Over 4,000 people are impacted by power outages in central Wisconsin Monday morning. See More more. UPDATE: (9:30 a.m.): According to WPS, over 2,000 residents in the Ringle area were without power due to an issue with a piece of equipment inside a substation. WPS crews have restored power to all customers affected by this outage.

More than 4,400 residents are without power in the Wausau area Monday, with the bulk of the outages reported in Weston. The power outage began at about 7:30 a.m. in Weston. Other communities impacted include Ringle, Bevent, Norrie, Kronenwetter, Hatley and Wausau.

Nearly one-third of Weston’s Wisconsin Public Service customers were without power Wednesday morning.
