A boil water advisory for Palmetto Bluff has been lifted. On Sunday afternoon, the latest water sample tests showed the water to be free from bacteria and safe for human consumption.

Officials of Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority (BJWSA) and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC) are advising residents of Palmetto Bluff to boil their water before using for drinking, cooking or dishwashing. The advisory area includes all of Palmetto Bluff.
