Customers in PSO’s service areas are experiencing outages due to significant damage caused by severe storms late Saturday into early Sunday morning. As of 6:00 p.m., outages are concentrated in the Tulsa and McAlester areas, and approximately 177,000 customers remain without power.

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality announced Monday afternoon that it cancelled the boil order for McAlester Public Works Authority in Pittsburg County. Water from the city of McAlester is now safe for human consumption, the DEQ said.
