The Emergency Boil Water advisory for the town of Colonie has been lifted as of Sunday morning. The advisory was first announced on Thursday evening. Town leaders say all water being tested by Albany County Department of Health continue to show the water has not been contaminated.

The superintendent at the Latham Water Department has initiated a water emergency, urging residents in the Town and Village of Colonie to limit their water use due to a pumping station failure at the Mohawk View Water Treatment Plant.
National Grid is reporting thousands of customers are without power as heavy, wet snow continues to fall across the Capital Region. As of 8:00 a.m. Saturday, more than 23,000 customers in Albany County were without power., including 9,159 in Guilderland, 5,184 in Bethlehem and 4,263 in Colonie.

According to the National Grid Power Outage map, over 600 customers are currently affected by a power outage in the Town of Colonie. The outage started on Saturday, May 28 at about 2:13 p.m.
A crash occurred on Central Avenue between Nicholas Drive and Parkwood Drive in Colonie. A car crashed into three telephone poles causing all westbound lanes to close and a small power outage. According to National Grid, there is currently a power outage in the area.
