Finally, another outage included 500 to 1,500 households in northern Williamston, in and around North Williamston Road, according to DTE Energy. In all, about 50,000 Consumers Energy customers were without power into the morning Thursday across south central Michigan. The outages appeared to be affecting the most number of people in the Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Jackson areas.

Human resource wanted to shut those lines down and send everyone home yo be tested but the plant manager said no. He needs the lines to stay running because he needs the parts. This continues to happen where he threatens employees with an attendance point or termination if they leave to go get tested. Employees are sick in here but don't want to lose their job.

The affected employees are being required to work only due to productivity concerns. The working conditions on the affected assembly lines are generally cramped and most of the machine operators are never 6 feet apart from one another. The affected assembly lines are designated A239, A382, and A383. It is understood that Michigan's covid-19 guidelines for manufacturing, requiring suspected cases to report to work in conditions where social distancing on the job is impossible is a health violation.
