Calcasieu Waterworks District No. 12 has issued a boil advisory for all customers due to a water leak affecting pressure in the system. The boil order will remain in place after pressure is restored.

More than 2,600 people were without power in Calcasieu Parish on Saturday morning. Entergy said an outage occurred at one of its substations and the cause is under investigation. Entergy’s latest outage map shows approximately 617 customers north of Opelousas Street were still affected.

Entergy was reporting that around 6,400 Lake Charles residents were suffering from a power outage. Entergy’s website says power was expected to be restored around 10:00 a.m.
