Entergy is responding to power outages in Jefferson and Metairie Thursday morning. According to the Entergy power outage map, more than 5,000 customers are without power. At this time, a cause for the outage has not been determined. No estimated time frame for restorations was given.

More than 4,000 Entergy customers in Metairie were without power Thursday morning. According to Entergy's power outage map, the outages were mainly in South Metairie and Jefferson. Power was restored to all customers around 10 a.m.

The morning after Wednesday's severe weather, a total of 1,830 utility customers do not have power in Louisiana.

As of 9 a.m., Thursday, Entergy's outage map shows the majority of outages in Jefferson, St. Charles, and Lafourche.
