City residents were without power for approximately two hours, resulting in the temporary closure of one business. This power outage occurred when an aircraft struck an Entergy-owned power line.

A large portion of Abbeville lost power because of a blown transformer at the Felicity Street electrical substation, which was out because it was shot.
Residents of East Martin Luther King and South Miles, going east to South Guegnon to the 900 block of Eighth Street probably lost water today because of the break.
When the water is restored, those residents will be under a boil order until further notice.
