Teachers are told to socially distance as well as possible and that the desks will be spread out as much as possible, but the desks are already spread out as much as possible. Students will be too close to each other and to the teacher. Teachers are not provided proper PPE. Teachers are only provided cloth masks. Students can take off their masks once they are sitting and facing forward. Teachers are not properly trained to properly mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Teachers are not properly trained to sanitize. The teachers will be exposed to harsh chemicals and are required to clean the classroom. Teachers are expected to supervise the hallways with several students passing between periods. Teachers will be exposed to 150 - 200 students per day. There is not adequate ventilation in the classrooms, there are limited windows and the air conditioning units do not always work. Case numbers are rising but they are returning to school. This is putting students and teachers in danger.
