COVID-positive patients are not allowed to sit vacant allowing an appropriate number of air exchanges before cleaning and re-occupation. 3. COVID-positive patients who are on CPAP are allowed to share rooms with other patients. The only barriers in the rooms are curtains that hang around beds. These curtains do not extend floor to ceiling and therefore do not minimize or eliminate the spread of aerosols. Doors to the rooms are kept open. 4. Isolation protocols are terminated while COVID-positive patients are still symptomatic.
