United Illuminating and Eversource. As of 8:45 p.m. Sunday, United Illuminating reported 516 outages. Nearly all of the outages were in Easton. Eversource reported 622 outages, including 398 in Wilton, 40 in Salisbury and 35 in Greenwich. Earlier in the day, more than 2,200 customers were without power. At around 2 p.m., United Illuminating reported 1,121 outages, while Eversource reported 1,129 outages, including 654 in Newington, 184 in Stamford and 155 in Ridgefield.

Thousands of Bridgeport residents lost power when a tractor-trailer struck a utility pole Tuesday. The crash happened around 8 a.m. at North and Wood avenues, knocking out power to 3,000 United Illuminating customers in the area for a time.
