four hours Wednesday, causing localized flooding and filling tributaries. The storm knocked out power to Xcel Energy customers in Sterling for nearly two hours. The lights flickered and then went out at about 7:30 p.m. and came back on at 9:13 p.m. The Journal-Advocate has reached out to Xcel to get details on the outage but had not yet heard back.
