A pair of transformers caught fire in Silverthorne late Thursday morning, May 18, knocking out power for more than 1,000 customers, including at the Silverthorne Recreation Center and Silverthorne Town Hall, according to Summit Fire & EMS.

According to Xcel Energy’s website, the outage occurred at 5:56 a.m. on April 1. Earlier this morning, the site reported that nearly 2,700 customers in Silverthorne, Dillon and Georgetown were affected. Another outage occurred at 8:48 a.m.
