A power outage has left thousands without power in the Grand Valley. According to Xcel Energy, a power outage began today at 4:34 p.m., affecting 2,684 customers in Palisade, Clifton, and Grand Junction. Xcel expects to restore the outage by 6 p.m. today.
Thunderstorms across Grand Junction knocked out power to at least 5,000 people.
The largest is in the Clifton with roughly 3,800 customers in the dark.
Residents in Clifton and Palisade are waking up without power on Tuesday morning. According to Xcel’s website, this outage is affecting 5,798 people in Mesa County.
