More than 20,000 homes and businesses in northern Sacramento County lost power Tuesday afternoon, utility officials said. The outages, concentrated in the Natomas and Rio Linda areas, began shortly before 1:15 p.m., according to an outage map Sacramento Municipal Utility District website.
