I was straight up told they won’t do the Covid-19 test on me because I’m not showing severe symptoms.
Do I really have to be dying in order to receive this test? Only symptom I don’t have is shortness of breath/tightness in my chest. I can’t smell or taste anything as well.

My friend has been showing symptoms of Covid-19 for days. Today he contacted our university health center for a teleconsultation, and when he asked the doctor if he could undergo a free test for the virus at the center, she said no, since he wasn’t coughing yet.

I've been reluctant to post this, but after a teledoc exam yesterday, he suspects I have COVID-19. I'm on day 5 of symptoms. 3 days of shortness of breath. No fever. A bit of chest congestion, and the rest feels like a flu I've never had before. On quarantine for 2 weeks.

I officially now know 5 people in my direct circle who are in isolation and experiencing varying symptoms, all of which are consistent with Coronavirus - none have been tested because it’s virtually impossible here in LA unless you need immediate hospitalization.

I now have 3 friends who have all the symptoms of COVID-19. None could get a doctor to see them, much less a hospital admission. One, 64, with underlying chronic kidney disease, had a high fever and labored breathing. Still no.
They are not even included in the numbers.

Dad’s home. Fever is under control now. All tests came back negative. Didn’t however get tested for Covid-19 cus not all symptoms are there. Praying his temp stays controlled and that he doesn’t develop anything else.

The LAPD has identified a third employee who has a confirmed case of COVID-19. A uniformed officer assigned to our Central Division exhibited symptoms that were characteristic of the disease earlier this week, and was sent home when a Supervisor became aware.
