Four bus operators, two First Transit contract drivers, a Yellow Cab contract driver, a procurement employee, a cleaner and a maintenance employee at the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) have tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases to 153 METRO employees and 46 contractors since March 2020. The public facing employees include, a bus operator that last worked July 9, the second bus operator last worked July 2, the third bus operator last worked July 8, the fourth bus operator last worked March 21, the contract bus operator is a First Transit employee who last worked July 18, the other First Transit contract driver last worked July 20, the Yellow Cab contract driver also provided services for METROLift on June 23, 24, 26 and July 1 and 2.
