Hey, everyone. This is a surprising thing to have happened, but I tested positive for COVID-19. My symptoms were just a short-lived sore throat, the sniffles & a loss of taste/smell. The good news about my COVID-19 experience is that it’s so mild, but the bad news is that I may have given it to people without realizing I was sick. I was taking every precaution and lived alone (roommate had quarantined with her bf), but I still managed to catch it.My experience is testament to a few things. One, not every COVID case is life-threatening. That’s good! But two, it’s so, so contagious that, even with a face mask and social distancing, I managed to get sick.
Anyway, thank you so much to Swedish Covenant Hospital for running the drive-thru clinic that helped me get tested. I’d been screened out by my doctor and wasn’t able to get a test that way.
