In July 2025 The Bear Trax Roller Coaster was dispatched from the station without all restraints being properly closed and locked. The ride continued to begin climbing the lift hill when a parent looking on noticed their child's lap bar was completely raised. The parent immediately notified the operator who initiated an emergency stop. The operator who failed to lock and check all restraints was terminated from the park in response. This near miss was extremely problematic. Seabreeze is generally a very safe park, however it should be noted that industry standard safety systems that will not allow a train to depart unless all safety bars are closed and locks are engaged is missing from the 1997 E&F Industries roller coaster, Bear Trax. Seabreeze states it will wait until the off season to address this major lack of a standard safety system instead of immediately closing the ride and upgrading the safety systems immediately. This is not a good decision and is like playing with matches in a dry forest. This needs to be immediately remedied for rider safety.
