I am an older Asian woman who has gone to the Wheat Ridge post office on Wadsworth for years and will never go there again due to concerns about staff misconduct. One clerk is great but some of the others are not. The last time I went... See More in on 8/8/22, a clerk overcharged me $5.30 for an international package so asked why and he became nasty and argumentative. I also asked if the package was insured and he said yes. Turns out he overcharged me because he sent my package for the UK to Ireland despite the correct address being clearly stated on the package itself and the customs form. I filed a complaint with USPS. Then the manager/postmaster called me on 8/30/22 and argued with me. He first blamed me, then he blamed a facility in Chicago, he said the clerk did not select the wrong country, and then said that Ireland and the UK are the same country and yelled at me when I said they are not. I have a photo of the package, of the receipt and online tracking screenshots that prove the clerk selected Ireland instead of the UK. I am concerned about behavior at this post office. I know from reading online reviews that I am not along in feeling that it's not safe--you are at risk for getting ripped off, and if you dare speak up, at risk for being bullied and verbally attacked by staff there. I lost $67 (the cost of shipping and goods) due to gross misconduct, negligence and incompetence at this post office. They have refused to pay me a dime--not even the amount they overcharged me for shipping the package to the wrong country. This needs to stop in our community--our post office should not be run or staffed by thugs who yell at people when they make a mistake. When they make a mistake like this (whether intentionally or not), they need to apologize and make it right. I will never go back to that post office again--I don't feel safe there. See Less
