Kirkland Red Bag Dog Food Possible Contamination or Unsafe levels of ingredients or other undeclared additives possibly?Our dog has always eaten Kirkland dog food from Costco without an issue. However, at one point recently they ran out of the type she ate for an extended period of time. We switched her to the green bags which were lamb instead of chicken in the red. They finally have the red bags back after months of not having it. But now our dog has randomly developed an extremely bloated belly and began retaining fluid. To me the food seems possibly darker than it used to be. We took the dog to the vet and had her seen. She had fluid drained.. she's not an old dog by any means and has been acting normal except for that leading me to question the food quality and possible contamination or unsafe levels in the food. Her liver numbers were good, X rays were clear. Before we jump into a more serious diagnosis I want this food looked into because the timing is really suspicious in my book. With the amount of food recalls lately in related products including in vegetables which this food is a chicken and veggies mix, it's something that needs to be investigated. I have a gut feeling something is wrong with the food. It may prove to be wrong, but right now the way the timing lines up is far too close to me.
