I am reporting Meledo Company LTD, constrou.shop and info@serviceis24h.com
This is a story of my attempt to figure out what is going on. This is a SCAM website. I had ordered something off a similar website a few months earlier - uueze.com/ - and instead of getting what I ordered I got toothbrushes. So, I did a chargeback on my credit card the first time.
This time, I decided to use the same credit card and noticed that the same contact for this new website, Info@serviceis24h.com, is the same as the one that sent me the toothbrushes instead of what I had ordered.
So now I HAD to order the same thing as I did on the first website. Since I did a chargeback on my cc the first time I thought surely that they would have blocked me from ordering from them -- because you know I am going to do a chargeback when they send me something random.
I thought this would be something like triangulation fraud but it turns out to be nothing more than a Chinese bait and switch scam.
I am lucky because I can do a chargeback on my credit card. Others may not be so lucky. They may have used a debit card - whose number and pin - are now in the hands of a criminal syndicate. They need to alert their bank and notify them of having been used on a fraudulent site and to change their card and pin.
I can easily change my credit card number. And since the controu.shop is still operational, it is still duping people that have no way to get their money back.
These scammers literally just sit around doing nothing but thinking of ways to steal your money. They often win claims because they can "prove" they delivered your item. Well, they can "prove" they delivered something but surely NOT the item you may have ordered. Banks should read up on these scams and side with their own customer reporting the fraud and clawback the money they paid out instead of stiffing their customer and refusing to do a clawback.
And, never use a debit card online. You have very little recourse or power to get your money back. Credit card companies have the power to clawback money. Make sure you take advantage of that power by using a credit card in the event that you are bait and switched.
These Chinese scam artists, and the businesses addresses they are using, need to be flagged and not allowed to send anything -- let's put them on the "No Ship" list -- like the no fly list. The USPS, UPS, FedEx, et al can just black ball their address. Of course, it will be a game of whackamole and they will just use a different address but you get the idea. Make it more difficult for them to build a history of who they are so they cannot scam people so easily.
Stay safe out there. If it seems too good to be true, it is because of a Chinese bait and switch con.
