City officials in Charlottesville, Virginia are investigating following the detection of high levels of E. coli bacteria in Meade Creek. The Rivanna Conservation Alliance detected the bacteria in a recent sample of water taken from a part of the creek not far from Meade Park.
At this time, people are advised to avoid contact with the water, as exposure to E. coli can cause illness. Meade Creek begins below Garden Street and Walnut Street in the Belmont area and heads north in an underground pipe before resurfacing east of 12th Street NE and flowing through Meade Park before reaching the Rivanna River.
Officials are attempting to identify the source of the contamination and address the issue. It is typically an indicator of sewage or animal waste contamination when E. coli is detected in water.

A Do Not Drink Order has been issued for Kennebec Water District customers due to the presence of firefighting foam in the water distribution system. The Do Not Drink Order will remain in place until water quality tests show that the water is safe to drink. This... The water district says the extent of the contamination is unclear and the order has been issued out of an abundance of caution. They say firefighting foam entered the water distribution system Monday morning during a fire on Elm Street in Waterville and the issue appears to be primarily in the areas of Elm Street and Main Street. The Kennebec Water District says they received testing and flushing guidance from the CDC and water district staff is working on flushing the contamination out of the system.

On Tuesday, August 18th a receptionist tested COVID-19 positive at the UVA ER. The reception staff was forced to come into work the following day despite being confirmed exposures and many worked until 4-7PM. Multiple team members have yet to be quarantined or tested despite this information.

I did not order and they sent me 2 bottles. I called the number on the bottle (844)677-0094. Woman with an accent in customer service said that I must have clicked on something and subscribed. I did not. She said I have 15 days to cancel the subscription otherwise they will automatically renew and send more at a cost. She had phone number, email, credit card info. She did not want product back but I am going to return to sender. Total scam!! I would suggest calling the number asap to cancel and keep an eye on your credit card.
