Safety Report: Heartland Farms Dog Food, Richlands, VA, USA

Heartland Farms Dog Food, Richlands, VA, USA

Richlands, 24641 Virginia, United States

Heartland Farms 30 Pound Dog Food— all 17 rescue dogs started vomiting and had diarrhea and wouldn’t eat. 1 puppy 16 weeks old died as a result and had a puddle of blood come out her. Another 16 week old puppy is still fighting for her life (the sister of one that passed). Another 1 year old Chihuahua is actively fighting for his life. Another 1 year old Toy Chihuahua is also sick. All dogs are getting supportive care, medication, and rehydration supplements. My biggest dog is okay, but still won’t eat right now. We switched back to Purina and I’ll never understand why this food is on the market. It needs banned now!! This looks like aflatoxin poisoning which they went down for in 2020 and had a recall as well. There is no cure only supportive treatment and medications.
