Safety Report: Heartland farms, Alma, GA, USA

Heartland farms, Alma, GA, USA

Alma, 31510 Georgia, United States

One week ago my husband bought a bag of heartland farms dog food from Dollar General a few days later I noticed my female pit who is normally a thick dog had lost tons of weight in a matter of days. She was skin and bones, the left side of her face was swollen, and she sounded like she was snoring when she was breathing. I originally thought maybe she got bite by something but come to find out it was the dog food. I have three Dogs and all 3 had barley touched the food. My female dog would look at the food like she was going to eat it but never would. I treated her with a steroid shot and a Benadryl shot. I fed her chicken and rice along with dyne to help put weight back on her. My husband poured that food out and got different food and she started eating that. She is slowly putting weight back on but still not 100% herself. I feel like she was hours away from death all because of this food. The attached picture is a couple days after feeding her myself to get weight back on her. | Symptoms: Swelling
