Symptoms: Headache Fatigue

I am a 77 yr old male and rec'd my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine, Feb 5, 2021 @ 11AM. No immediate soreness or fever. Four hours later tho, I felt very tired. Took a nap, woke up with a headache, took 2 Tylenol, and went back to sleep. Next morning, I was still tired. But got up and did my normal daily activities. My takeaway -a little bit of discomfort now is preferable to weeks and months in ICU, in isolation.

Took benadryl approx 30 min symptoms started to decrease. Still had a mild headache, right abdominal pain and about 6 hours lat... See Moreer rash and itchiness returned. Took more benadryl and fell asleep. Woke up the next morning (day 2) about 630am itchy and red, took a regular antihistamines (1 a day) felt good till about 130pm rash started all over got chills, fever, body aches, felt heavy and tired and stomach pains as well as headache. Took tylenol and benadryl and tried to sleep. Next day (day 3) felt a bit better. Redness still appeared on chest, throat and face, throat feels scratchy and sore and still have a headache. Took a 1 a day allergy pill and felt better. At about 2pm had to take some benadryl. Bodyaches almost gone all the way and no fever or chills today. Throat still scratchy drinking lots of tea with lemon and honey and benadryl, tylenol, and allergy pills are my best friend right now. Waiting to speak with an allergen specialist in regards to this reaction. Most likely not getting a second dose. Stay safe out there and becareful if you get the vaccine. I have regular seasonal allergies, allergic to 2 different antibiotics (penicillin and Trimethoprim / Sulfamethoxazole), sulfate, asparagus, and mustard. See Less”

Also, there was a very poor effort at informing people of this memo, and almost no effort to make sure of receipt. A bellman wasn't informed until Friday the 31st, and only because I told him even though he had worked the 29th and the 30th. Memo's weren't placed in our mailboxes until 8/1. This is just the front desk staff, I imagine housekeeping staff probably had more of a problem with receipt.. I interact with a elderly mother who is at high risk who lives in retirement community. I have isolated myself from her, but had I known about information I would have been able to isolate form her earlier, by two days. T8 CCR 3203(a)(4)(6) Employer is not notifying employees of other COVID-19 positive employees in a timely manner.

See MoreSodium Injection, USP to consumer level due to a packaging error resulting in some syringes barrels containing 150 mg/mL markings (corresponding to 120 mg/0.8mL strength) instead of 100 mg/mL markings (corresponding to 100 mg/mL strength) on the syringe barrel and vice versa. The packaging error was discovered during a customer complaint investigation. To date, Apotex has not received any reports of adverse events related to use of these two batches. The affected product is manufactured by Gland Pharma Limited, Hyderabad, India.

Health Hazard Assessment: Incorrect syringe barrel marking could lead to miscalculation and inaccurate dose administration to patients. In one recalled batch (batch CS008, strength 100 mg/mL), if a consumer used a 150 mg/mL concentration packaged in a barrel corresponding to a l00 mg/mL concentration, patients could receive 3.75 mg of Enoxaparin, instead of 3 mg of Enoxaparin. In another recalled batch (batch CT003, strength 120 mg/0.8mL), if a consumer used a 100 mg/mL concentration packaged in a barrel corresponding to a 150 mg/mL concentration, patients would receive 2 mg of Enoxaparin rather than 2.5 mg of Enoxaparin. Accidental overdosage following administration of enoxaparin sodium injection may lead to bleeding complications. Alternative, if the dose administered is less than prescribed, the patient may be subject to developing some blood clotting conditions.

Enoxaparin Sodium injection is indicated for the prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which may lead to pulmonary embolism (PE), Treatment of Acute Deep Vein Thrombosis, prophylaxis of ischemic complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, when concurrently administered with aspirin and Treatment of Acute ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction.
