Forest Hill Boulevard, Wellington, Florida, United States
I have seen an increase in e-bike and scooter activity on the sidewalks along Forrest hill blvd in Wellington. I’m a walking pedestrian and I’ve noticed particularly the younger riders not practicing safe e-bike and scooter riding. Once the kids wouldn’t slow down or scoot over they simply yelled “watch out” and I had to get onto the grass. Is there some training requirement the kids take to ride these? I mean I’ve seen them going faster than an adult can run. I’d like to know if there is anything I can do help with either education or anything because I’m afraid someone is going to get really injured or worse killed because the kids who scooted past me also didn’t stop at a housing entrance. This was also around 615pm and the sun was going down and people in a rush to get home from traffic. I’m worried a fatality is going to happen I hope that it does t come to that before something changes. Thanks.
