Pleasant Valley Mutual Water Company and Crestview Mutual Water Company issued Unsafe Water Alerts to its customers, advising them that the water is not safe to drink or boil, at 5:18 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 due to the Mountain Fire.Pleasant Valley Mutual Water Company: According to the release, the State Water Resources Control Board and Ventura County Environmental Health Division are advising customers in the affected area not to use tap water for drinking and cooking until further notice.
About 180 customers at the highest elevation are experiencing no water service until they can receive and hook up a standby generator, which is expected to arrive sometime on Friday, Nov. 8
Crestview Mutual Water Company: According to the release, available water may be used for limited purposes, as outlined in the advisory. However, customers in the affected area are advised not to use tap water for drinking and cooking until further notice.
The Crestview service area includes all customers on Ramona; La Crescenta; La Patera; Avocado; La Marina; Crestview; Via Zamora; Sereno Place; Valley Vista; Marine View; Vista Del Mar; Fairway Drive and Alviso Drive.
