Regulatory Report
27737 Avenue Hopkins, Santa Clarita, 91355 California, United States
Per complainant: Currently at our work Whitmor Wirenetics (661) 257-2400 located at 27737 Ave Hopkins Valencia, CA 91355 as well as 28420 Ave Stanford Valencia, CA 91354 we have about 11-15 positive Covid-19 cases. Of those cases we have had one fatality and at least one other employee admitted to the ICU. This has been going on for the last 3 weeks. At the beginning of this current outbreak our work closed for about 2 days. It was a Friday they sent us all to get tested and then the had us back to work on that Sunday. They say that they have cleaned our warehouses but we are still getting positive cases on almost a daily basis. We have had positive cases for a while since about June 2020 and they have never offered to send us to get tested until the recent outbreak. And they only closed us for 2 days, that's it. People are still coming in after testing because they are afraid of losing their jobs and finding out that they are positive while they are at work. All they have done is spray the machines in my area with disinfectant and have us go back to work. They don't say "hey we need you to go test", we have to ask. When we do ask they push us to take the rapid tests which costs us 250 dollars out of pocket where they take weeks to give us our money back for testing. They give us masks and gloves but they are not looking out for our best interest. After the fatality from COVID at the Hopkins location a lot of people are scared and feel there is nothing we can do for the fear of losing our jobs. Please look into this matter if you can help before more of us get sick. CCR,Title8, 3205(c) COVID-19 Prevention Program Employers shall establish, implement, and maintain an effective, written COVID-19 Prevention Program. Employer failed to report fatality due to COVID. Employer failed to report hospitalization due to COVID. CSHO emailed complainant to get more info: -Yes, one of our employees at the Hopkins address did pass away due to COVID. Which he most likely got there. We have been having issues with both locations and people contracting it even as recently as yesterday. We had a complaint filed a few months ago by another employee but management hasn't really changed protocol since and that's why we feel we're having a worse outbreak than before.3 weeks ago •reported by user-rdtk1287 • details
