In the loading and unloading areas where there are a lot of senior or elderly staff working, and where there was an employee sent home because that employee was a positive Covid-19 illness case, 1 The employees are not being provided with hand sanitizer, gloves, or personal protective equipment such as some type of respiratory filtering facepiece. 2 The employer is not following social distancing requirements, because when loading and unloading 53 foot trailers, the employer still requires 3 employees to enter the trailer to load or unload the trailer of packages. 3 There is 1 bathroom for all male employees in this loading unloading area. The next bathroom is 100 yards away. There is not adequate hand washing facilities, or a temporary hand washing facility provided for this area, given the number of workers and volume and speed of work during loading and unloading, for employees to adequately wash their hands with frequency during work. 4 The policies of hand washing, personal protective equipment, social distancing, and stay at home with covid-19 symptoms, or stay at home with pay or without pay, measures to protect employees from covid-19, have not been communicated to the employees. 5 The employer has not fully developed and implemented an Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan according to OSHA guidelines.
