The employer did not ensure to establish and implement a COVID-19 Prevention Program; specifically, the employer did not train employees on the hazards of COVID-19 as well as identify and control the hazards associated with employees entering homes to conduct maintenance where there is a potential to be exposed to unknown COVID-19 hazards. 1. The employer did not ensure that its staff who are required to work with paints and other chemicals have access to the safety data sheets (SDS) and are properly trained in accordance with this section. T8 CCR 5194(h)(1). 2. The employer did not ensure its staff are provided the proper personal protective equipment when having to clean up human waste as part of maintenance duties. T8 CCR 3380(f)(1)(A)(B)(C). 3. The employer did not ensure its staff who are required to wear personal protective equipment when having to clean up biowaste as part of the maintenance duties are trained in accordance with this section. T8 CCR 3380(f)(4)(A)(B)(C)(D)(E). 4. The employer did not ensure to have a competent person conduct an initial exposure assessment on activities conducted by maintenance personnel which require the disturbance, maintenance and alteration of asbestos-containing building materials. T8 CCR 1529(2)(A). 5. The employer did not ensure that employees working 7-1/2 feet above ground level while checking gutters and HVAC units on the roof of the establishment were protected by the means of approved personal fall protection. T8 CCR 1670(a). 6. The employer did not identify and correct the unsafe unhealthy condition of requiring employees to remove large objects from the establishments trash bins by hand where hypodermic needles have been thrown away by residents in the communal trash bins. T8 CCR 3203(a)(4)(6).
