Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services - InterActions Residential Treatment Program, 300 68th St SE, Building D3, GRAND RAPIDS, MI, 49548, USA

4 years ago business

Grand Rapids, 49548 Michigan, United States

1. The building had a COVID positive patient and employees were not provided with proper personal protective equipment. 2. Gloves didn't fit properly (they were too big) despite multiple requests for gloves that fit. 3. Employees were informed that they would be fitted for a N95 mask and not one was fitted. 4. It was poorly communicated to staff wear to don and use personal protective equipment. 5. Many staff came onto the work floor not knowing that the facility was quarantined. 6. The employer is trying to clear the unit despite patients showing symptoms (the patients in question refuse to be tested) and they are supposed to have a new face shield everyday. The facility ran out within a day or two. 7. The PPE station is barely restocked. Staff constantly run out of masks and have to reuse old ones. 8. An employee recently informed their supervisor that they had to get a COVID test and they were still required to work the floor. That staff ended up testing positive for COVID.
