1. Temperature checks are not being conducted for COVID-19. 2. Employees are allowed and being required to come into work if asymptomatic with COVID-19 and just told to wear a face mask. Employees at gate houses have been sick when checking persons entering the facility. 3. Employees are not being required to wear face masks due to the high temperatures in the facility. This could be contributing to the spread of the virus. 4. The inmates are no longer being tested for COVID-19, which is creating an exposure hazard to the employees. 5. There are over (50) employees and (300) inmates in the facility that are sick with COVID-19. There have been three deaths due to COVID-19 in the past couple of weeks and one employee is in the hospital on life support. The three deaths include two correctional officers and the Director of Programs. The cases are suspected to have been contracted at the facility.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2021-08-31
