(1) Employers are potentially exposed to fire hazards associated with unsafe material storage. It was reported that materials in the back room storage area are stacked such that they are within 18 inches of overhead sprinklers. Contrary to 29 CFR 1910.159. (2) Employees are potentially exposed to safety hazards associated with blocked egress paths and emergency exits. It was reported that materials in the back room storage area are stored in egress pathways and often blocking exit routes. Contrary to 29 CFR 1910.37. (3) Employees are potentially exposed to safety hazards regarding unstable storage. It was reported that materials stored on racks in the back room storage area are not secured to prevent falling. Contrary to 29 CFR 1910.176. (4) Employees are potentially exposed to health hazards related to COVID-19 due to lack of precautions taken by the employer to avoid transmission of the virus. It was reported that the night shift employees do not consistently wear masks and do not undergo pre-shift health screening. Contrary to 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act.
