COVID-19 positive patients on ventilators are considered aerosol-generating. There are several within this hospital that are in non negative pressure rooms. Per IU Health policy, "aerosol-generating procedures (AGPs) are supposed to be performed in a negative-airflow room." These patients are potentially infecting staff and other patients. They are placed in busy parts of the unit with a lot of traffic walking by. Upwards of 60 people are being exposed to COVID-19 without proper PPE.Source: Osha.gov | Receipt Date: 2021-12-09
