T8 CCR § 1529(c)(1) - Employer allowed asbestos work to be conducted outside of a regulated area. Complainant is a physician and concerned with asbestos. Complainant states that she has tested ceiling tiles at her medical offices and tested positive for asbestos fibers. Complainant communicated this information to the landlord (Healthcare Trust of America) and tested wall. Test results were provided to lessee, (physician) and tested positive for asbestos fibers. For the past few days, landlord has had construction work at the site. No encapsulation materials were used to contain fibers. Complainant observed ceiling tiles drilled (aggressive method) by employees who were not wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and no monitoring equipment deployed to measure the amount of exposure.1 week ago •reported by user-jgkh2861
