At the COVID-19 testing site: 1. Employees are not protected from exposure to COVID-19 [Reference Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act and "Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19"]. 2. Contaminated needles and other contaminated sharps are not been properly handled and disposed, exposing employees to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. [Reference 1910.1030(d)(2)(viii)]. 3. Employees are not provided the appropriate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, gloves, gowns, laboratory coats, face shields or masks and eye protection when performing COVID-19 testing, exposing them to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. [Reference 1910.1030(d)(3)(i)]. 4. Cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and surfaces is not conducted, exposing employees to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials.
