1. Employees are potentially exposed to health hazards associated with COVID-19. It was reported that one employee had tested positive for COVID-19 and that employees who were in direct contact with those who tested positive were not required to self-quarantine for any amount of time and continued to work with other employees. It was further reported that the employer has not implemented precautions such as but not limited to social distancing, enforcement of mask wear, temperature checks or contact tracing. This is contrary to Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. 2. Employees are potentially exposed to electrical hazards. It was reported that there are exposed electrical outlets which dogs urinate on which are not protected with a weatherproof enclosure. Contrary to 29 CFR 1910.305(j)(2)(iv). 3. Employees are not adequately prepared to provide first aid treatment in the event of an injury. It was reported that first aid training has not been provided and an adequate first aid kit is not readily available. Contrary to 29 CFR 1910.151(b). 4. Employees are exposed to health hazards associated with toilet facilities. It was reported that a toilet at the facility is non-functioning and does adequately flush waste. Contrary to 29 CFR 1910.141. 5. Employees are exposed to burn hazards associated with the sinks. It was reported that several sinks throughout the facility deliver water at a scalding temperature. Contrary to section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. 6. Employees are exposed to respiratory hazards while working in the building. It was reported that there are areas of mold growth in the facility and that the employer has not removed and properly abated the identified mold. Contrary to section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
