Regulatory Report

Covid-19 OSHA Complaint, Glenbrook HS District 225 - South HS, 4000 W Lake Ave, GLENVIEW, IL, 60026, USA

4 years ago business

4000 West Lake Avenue, Glenview, 60026 Illinois, United States

The coaches don't wear mask on the school bus after school hours to go to the sport games and don't require the kids to wear them either. The only person that has a mask on is the bus driver. They are told that masks are required but leave them under their chins. All the bus drivers that do after school sports charters are exposed. The last time I witnessed was 10-5-2021 because it was me driving the school bus. Kids yelling for excitement of games with no mask on. On August 11, 2021, The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) issued a letter to all superintendents titled, "Enforcement of Universal Masking Requirement." This letter highlights Executive Order 2021-18, that requires that all students, staff, and visitors wear masks indoors in all P-12 schools in Illinois. All School Personnel must have, at a minimum, the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine within 10 days after issuance of this Executive Order, and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within 30 days following administration of their first dose in a two-dose vaccination series. Any School Personnel who have not established that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must be tested consistent with the requirements of Subsection (d). To establish that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, School Personnel must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 to the School. While IL OSHA cannot directly enforce this executive order, the Illinois Occupational Safety and Health Act requires employers to protect employees from recognized hazards that cause or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to its employees (820 ILCS 219/20(a)). Employers who violate this section of the Act may be cited and/or referred to another regulatory authority such as the ISBE.
