The hazard and risk of spreading illness exists within the company. Our lead supervisor and president recently sent out an email to employees detailing guidelines amid this Covid-19 pandemic. Of those includes: 1-All staff must wear a mask in all common areas ... includes ... the copier, printer, kitchen, and rest rooms as well as entering and exiting the office; 4- If you need to speak with one of your co-workers ... you must wear your mask. Finally concluding with, "we must maintain distancing, protecting our co-workers". Unfortunately, these guidelines are followed half of the time at best. One particular employee not wearing her mask, and another finding it satisfactory to substitute a mask for her hand at times. Most recently, the President has a habit of speaking with her mask lowered below her nose, effectively rendering it practically useless. She has even removed her mask and stood next to myself and others to speak with them. There is a scheduled travel date a week ahead of the team to Florida, which requires two employees to drive together to Florida from Kentucky, and back. They also will be operating a camera with one to two other people each day that they're down there. In both of these situations, social distancing is near impossible, yet she, the President, insists it must be done. Given the laxity by which the employees and even the President follows prevention standards, as well as the risk from public exposure while traveling and in Florida, Complainant feels their own health safety, as well as that of the other employees, though they may not feel the same, are at risk. They currently have 6 employees in the building, ranging from ages 20+ to 40s or even 50s.
