1. Harper University Hospital Peri-Operative Services requires either a vaccination record or swab for Covid-19 prior to being admitted for surgical services. Currently, patients are being directed to either bring a vaccination card or prrof of recent negative Covid-19 swab to be registered for surgery. However, the results (wither positive or negative) for swabs for Covd-19 are not being made available to patients or staff members prior to being registered for surgery. Employees are being exposed to patients diagnosed as testing positive with Covid-19. Employees are actively caring for Covid positive patients without knowledge. Staff is being exposed to Covid-19 positive patients weekly without notification. There are currently no safeguards in place to prevent this exposure. 2.
