Social distancing guidelines are not being followed in the building. There are 25-30 carriers casing mail in close proximity, less than 6 feet distance from one another. Masks are not being worn consistently and employees walk up to others in their casing area without masks to talk. Recently, wearing masks all the time was mandated. Carriers can feel trapped and uncomfortable while working in their cases when others are not wearing masks or refuse to wear a mask. The doors are closed and the ventilation does not work sufficiently to keep air moving.
